Axedale Church

St Andrews Uniting Church is situated in the main street of Axedale and enjoys a rural setting ‘in the bush’. The bluestone church was built nearly 150 years ago and the congregation meets twice a month, at 2.30 pm 1st and 3rd Sundays. (During January and February frequency and times of worship are likely to be variable.)
Axedale’s congregation is made up of about 10-12 families who are very good at keeping in touch with each other during the week and sharing in social activities. Newcomers are warmly welcomed. On the first Thursday in the month we meet at the Axedale Tavern for morning coffee with our minister Rev Di Esbensen. Interesting talks take place on all manner of subjects.
St Andrews in Axedale completed the building of a meeting room and toilet facility at the rear of the church and they are now able to extend hospitality to visitors and the wider community in air-conditioned/heated comfort. The meeting room is used by the CWA and Primary School. It can be hired as a ‘once off’ venue or on a longer term basis.
